The Bayview Hunters Point Neighborhood Transportation Plan (NTP) is a community-based study of transportation needs and priorities in the Bayview Hunters Point (BVHP) neighborhood of San Francisco. The Transportation Authority led the NTP, in cooperation with City agencies and funding partners.
Visit the About page for more background information on the NTP.
Multilingual Sidewalk Parking Flyer
The NTP confirmed community concerns regarding illegal parking activity in the neighborhood, particularly parking on sidewalks. In a previous citywide effort, the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency partnered to develop educational materials about this issue. The project was a collaboration of these City agencies and the Senior Action Network, Walk San Francisco, and the Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
As part of this project, multingual flyers were developed to help San Francisco residents educate one another about sidewalk parking. The flyer is available for download in two file formats.

Existing Conditions Analysis
The analysis and documentation of the neighborhood's current transportation system is a key first step in identifying transportation issues and constraints in the community. The Study Team is working to compile data available from other planning and implementation efforts in the area. This information will be complemented by public outreach activities to identify the most pressing transportation needs and issues for members of the BVHP community. Review of Past Studies
The Study Team worked with agency partners to summarize the findings of other transportation-related planning efforts and projects in BVHP. This effort has provided insight into previously identified needs and will allow the NTP to build on work recently completed by other community groups and agencies.
