As part of the public review process for the Draft EIS/EIR, the project team hosted a public comment meeting on November 5, 2015 in the St. Mary’s Cathedral. The purpose of the meeting was to provide an opportunity to view project information, discuss the project with staff, and provide comments in writing or verbally to a court reporter. Materials presented at the meeting including the following:

Geary BRT was conceptualized as part of a solution to rising transportation demands in the early 2000’s. In 2007 the results of a feasibility study indicated that BRT was the preferred method to address the need for better transit service for the growing number of transit riders in the Geary corridor.
