From signals to streetcars, bicycles to boulevards, from pedestrian safety to paving, the Transportation Authority provides funding for hundreds of transportation projects citywide.

Most of these projects are funded by Prop K [5] half-cent sales tax for transportation funds, which often match with other federal, state, or regional funds. We also provide funding through the Prop AA Vehicle Registration Fee [6] and the Transportation Fund for Clean Air [7] programs.

We provide project oversight for many of the improvements funded by these sources. Work with multiple agencies to coordinate efforts on transportation enhancements throughout the city. The Transportation Authority's main goal is to support timely and on-budget delivery of these projects, while ensuring transparency and making sure the public is informed of project updates and opportunities to be involved.
